Health and Safety

In October 2004 part 111 of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995, became law and if you provide services to the public you have responsibilities under the legislation. Under the requirements of the act, the goods or services that you supply must be accessible to the disabled and ‘reasonable adjustments’ must be carried out. Supreme Doors have the knowledge and the know how to amend this problem.

We have a full–time Chartered Safety Practitioner to help us with the constant changes in Health and Safety Regulations. With this in mind we are very conscious of our own engineers’ safety. Health and safety assessments are carried out on every job to make sure that it is not only safe to work for our engineers but also for your staff and visitors whilst the work is carried out. Our staff are constantly updated on any new legislations or changes, and pass this knowledge onto our customers.

We use ADSA authorised technicians (Automatic Door Suppliers’ Association) for the specification, supply, installation and maintenance of automatic door operators as per the guidelines of BS7036: 1996 (code of practice for safety of powered doors for pedestrian use). All our engineers carry valid CSCS cards.

This ensures that they are fully qualified and competent to work on-site, providing peace of mind that your project is in capable hands. At Supreme Doors, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of service and safety. By adhering to industry regulations and staying informed of any legislative changes, we aim to exceed expectations and foster long-term relationships with our clients. Whether you’re looking for installation, maintenance, or guidance on compliance, our experienced team is here to support you every step of the way. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities.
